Q: Dr. D, what is your favourite quote about Moms?
“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” ―Washington Irving
Wow! What an amazing depiction of what a Mother is and the reason that we should place them on the highest pedestal.
Contrary to this though, I see Mother’s holding everyone else on pedestals. They put themselves
last to make sure that everyone else is taken care of. They forget about how important they are, in an attemp to make things better for others, especially their families.
It is really tough for me to see the efforts of Mom’s result in exhaustion, stress, fatigue, overwhelm, ill health and sometimes depression. Who tends to get neglected is the one who is trying to hold everyone else up. Being selfless is an amazing attribute, but not if you are unable to express yourself to the word and your families as you should.
That is why I always believe in the immeasurable value of getting Mother’s adjusted. In order to have them be the brightest light to shine on others they need to have a crystal clear and efficiently running nervous system. Improving their ability to recover, heal, repair and function will only help them serve their highest purpose…
So Mom’s, please make the investment in taking care of yourself! Not only are you exceptionally worth it, everyone that you influence desires and wishes for the most authentic version of you.
…And for everyone else, please make sure the Mom’s out there are given an abundance of gratitude, especially on Mother’ Day. Make it a priority to give them the time to take care of themselves and hold them accountable to actually do it. It will not only allow them to express themselves more fully but it will influence the lives of everyone they care for.
To all the amazing Mom’s out there and especially to my beautiful wife and my incredible Mom;
Thank you for being the best version of you. I love and appreciate all that you do.
Yours in Health,
Dr. D
